Serve as an Election Judge

Serve as Election Judge  (1)

Election judges are essential to our democracy.  Serving as an election judge provides an opportunity to learn more about the election process and is a great service to our community.

Election Dates:

  • Tuesday, March 5, 2024 -  Presidential Nomination Primary Election 
  • Tuesday, August 13, 2024 - Primary Election
  • Tuesday, November 5, 2024 - General Election

Paid to Serve

Election judges are paid for training and working on the days of the Elections. Pay ranges are based on position held.  

2024 Election Judge Rates

  • Election Judges:  $12.50/per hour (typically 60-80 judges needed)
  • Assistant Head Judges:  $13.00/per hour (typically 8 or more needed)
  • Head Judges:  $14.00/per hour (typically 8 needed)
  • Election Assistant $15.00/per hour (only 1 needed)

Election judges are paid officials who staff the polling places and ensure that the rights of voters are protected on Election Day. Election judges must be at least 18 years old (unless serving as a student judge).
